I picked up an FC with no rego, and the grey in it is missing, number 6 isnt firing and i waz wondering if i need an engineers slip 2 fit in another engine, say a 186 or so... i am in act, but nsw rego would b fine... can any1 help me...

Certainly a 186 will require an engineer's certificate in NSW.  You can fit a 138 red and possibly a 149 without requiring certification and all the other mods.  Check with the FE-HR Holden Owners Club of ACT for the local regs and a recommended engineer.
