Hi Guys,
Now that I have your attention, I am in the process of having one of these gauges made however, instead of a temp gauge and amp gauge, it will have a needle temp gauge and needle oil pressure gauge which is what it should have had in the first place. It will also have a charge light and obviously the indicator light. It will be all electric and come with the senders and wiring loom and instructions. My problem is it is not viable to produce one only. The manufacturer (not chinese) has stated the more ordered the cheaper it will be. I believe you will need to supply a stock idiot light gauge for the conversion but this will be confirmed. I need to know who may be interested in this gauge. I am also waiting for a picture of the gauge which I will put up when it arrives. I am not making any money off this. Trust me it is not going to be $100. The more people on board the cheaper it will be. When I get numbers I will come back to you with a price.
Regards Brett

Hi Valour,
Unfortunately there wasn't enough interest and therefore cost wise was not feasible. The covid didn't help things.

Hi Guys,
Just an update to this post. I have again gone back to the manufacturer to see if I can get a better price.
I'm not sure of the number of people that would be interested. I have said that should we have say 20 people interested what would we be looking at. The response was that there is a once off $700 set up fee and then the completed gauges including fittings and wiring harness (Generic) would be $450. Bear in mind this is us dollars. That being said the math is as follows:
$700 us set up fee (once off)= $983.75 aust (current exchange rate)
$450 us finished gauge = $633 aust (current exchange rate)
Divide the set up fee x 20 (orders) = $49.18 Aust dollars per unit (add to cost of gauge)
Finished gauge $633 + set up fee $49.18 = $683 aust per gauge
Note that there was a wilsonis gauge auctioned last week that went for over $700. This then places this new gauge as a cheaper alternative to the original and it has all fittings. There will also be shipping costs but if all ordered together, I shouldn't think it would add to much if divided by 20. The down fall is that they cannot show the finished product until one is made. The upside is that the gauges will comprise of a temp and oil gauge not an oil and gen gauge. Lots to think about but it will not be viable without numbers.
Let me know what you all think.

Hi Spinner,
Thanks for the reply. I know it is not cheap but have been trying to get them down. Still cheaper by the looks of what people are still willing to pay for old incomplete ones. The aussie dollar is not helping and I also know people are hurting from this covid shit financially. With you and me we need at least another 18 onboard to make it work. For those that are following this thread they are to be made in the US. No chinese crap. I am making nothing on this and can show the email if anyone wants to  question me.
