Looking to dust off an unfinished conversion and unsure whether there is any chance in obtaining NSW rego given recent law changes. It is an FC sedan with a VP Comm V6, HR cross member, castlemaine chassis strengthening kit, Supra gearbox, VP Comm front & rear brakes, VP Comm loom, etc. I guess a visit to a certifier/engineer is a start. Wondering whether anyone has recent experience with similar. Thanks in advance, Greg

Hi Greg
I know I'm in WA mate however my sedan is pretty close to what you have stated your project is and I had no problem I have also had my V6 conversion EK ute project approved in the last couple of months, the NSW boys will answer better but you really shouldn't have a problem (unless the rules over there have really changed dramatically) as long as the work is done properly.

Visit to an Engineer is where I would start.

Regards
Neil

I'm about 90% of the way through the same type of setup (mostly Commodore gear, CRS chassis/crossmember), though in an EK wagon and with a 300kW 327 Chev. It's been a 10 year project, as I kept getting worried about the engineering changes in NSW. The current engineer has no drama at all signing it off. I suspect that your project would also get engineered.

Cheers,
Harv
