Has anyone out there got info on FB paint, trim and body codes? I have just landed an FB ute (restorer) and can't find any info. The body number on the plate is FB82106-5822-S which is clear enough however stamped on the inner fender is the number FB30730. Does that indicate that maybe the subframe/ inner panels have been changed? The id plate does not look like it has been tampered with. The Paint code is 585-9689 which I worked out to be Banff Blue, and the trim code is 505-833 which I haven't been able to decode. Help appreciated!!!! Cheers, Fraze

Fraze,

Possibly FB2106-5822-S.  That would mean it was the 5822nd FB ute to come off the line at Sydney.  The chassis number FB30730 should have an S suffix as well, and no, I don't think the subframe would have been changed.

You could get in touch with Sam Princi at the NSW FB-EK club (his blue ute is featured in this month's Retroautos e-zine).
