G'day folks, I'm in the middle of re painting and re trimming my ute. I'm giving serious consideration in taking it back to its original Ascot Grey (1957), code 7773, and getting away from the blue non original colour it has been for the last 26 years.
Would anybody have pics of a factory coloured ute in Ascot Grey that I can use as a guide as to the original colour?
Thanks in advance
Brett

G'day Brett,
Although not a ute, my wagon is Ascot Grey (with Wangarra Grey flash) - pics are in "Members Cars - finally underway again..."
Cheers, Graeme

Hi Brett,
My FC ute is a 1959 model in Ascot Grey (7773). Mine has been repainted so not sure if the shade of colour is correct.
Previous Ascot Greys (7771) came out in 1956 by my research.

I have an fc sedan taxi with ascot grey interior and it was that colour. If you need a small interior piece for colour match, if they don't have a numbers, I'm willing to send you a small item for colour match if you get stuck.

Thanks Graeme, PM sent.
Thanks for the info Seb.
Thanks for the offer Deano, but the trim was red, just not sure of the code, as the ute is in a workshop atm.
Thanks guys
Brett
