Hi All

I purchased an alloy timing gear set to replace the stripped fibre gear.
Just one problem. How do I remove the crankshaft gear. In the workshop manual they use a puller that screws into a couple of threaded holes in the gear. My crank gear does not have these threaded holes. How do I remove it now??
Looking forward to your assistance.

Any spare parts shop will stock small gear/wheel pullers. Just hook the lip of the arms over the gear and screw the bolt down(you may have to grind the edge of the arms down to fit between the back of the gear and the backing plate.

The thinned down gear puller idea didn't work. Ended up pulling the crankshaft out.
