I have a 3.55 diff I wish to fit to my FC. When fitting, do you use the same uni joint as on a standard FC and just use a pair of u-bolts to hold it onto the flange of the 3.55 diff.  I vaguely remember that you use a uni from EH to HR.  If this is the case does this uni fit into the rear end of the original tail shaft?  Are the U-bolts available as a new product?

Keith you use the EH to HR uni and it fits straight into the FC tailshaft. I don't know about new U bolts but the uni goes right through to HZ (maybe even Commodore) so the U bolts are not hard to find second hand.
