Hi all Just wanting to know if i can put a petronix 40000 volt flame thrower coil on my 138 grey motor Will it burn out points etc? Cheers Darren.

yes you can, you are going to get there points replacement module can't recommend it highly enough
if you dont want that coil you can just get a Bosch GT40
|

Thanks John I just have the coil and not the other bits to replace the points is it still ok to use the coil. cheers Darren

Check the coil is for 12 volt operation and not for 7 volt - grey motors use a 12 volt coil and reds use a 7 volt coil. So the coil you have must be to suit a grey motor, not a red motor.

in the pertronix range i think its the 3 ohm coil you need, but if it for a 6 cylinder i think they only sell 3 ohm

Hey John Do you know any thing about wheel offsets for fc vans. Looking at buying a set of 13x7 with 70mm back space and 0 offset. Will they fit? cheers Darren
