Can someone tell me the measurement from mount point to mount point on a shortened vb/vk commodore. I bought a front end and I think it has not been shortened.
thanks fred

they are very short mines in the back of the shed but at a guess 350mm ish centres
the centre tube between the 2 alloy housings is only around 60mm
your nuckles on the rack should pivot where the lower control arm pivots so you dont get bump steer.

Have seen a few shonky ones where they just shorten the rack end really short and they will steer horrible.

can take a photo if you would like.

I don't know who modifeied mine if at all, the pivot point of the rask is about 50mm outside the pivot point of lower control arms. This tells me I will have all sort of steering problems.

post a pic or send me one to post might not even be commodore or modified.
you would know if its a commodore they are long as hell.

Could be a camira as they are pretty popular but then again it  could be anything //

My old man set up a torana one on the rear of a hr  crosmember in his T tudor it was in their for ages and i jumped in it one day and turned left and the wheels went right very important lesson learnt.
