I HAD A LOOK AT A 56 FE SPECIAL FOR A FRIEND OVER THE W/END.THERE IS NO CHASSIS NMBR ON THE S/FRAME''IS THIS HOW THEY ARE?'' ALSO IT HAS GUARD & F/DOOR SIDESTRIPS THE SAME AS FC SPECIAL.IT'S A GENUINE 90,000 CAR I'M A BIT CONFUSED.THANKS, GAZ.

GAZ, It's hard to spot the early FE chassis no, it's just above the battery and is only in a small sized font, often hidden by splashes of battery juice

The guard strip is the same as FC except it has the running Holden script stamped into it

Front door strip is same as FC, it's from the back door back that there is a difference between them

I assumed my car had police numbers as i thought it had NOS front end didnt know FE was in a different spot to FC weirdo FE designers
