The red wire goes to power and the green wire goes in one side of the switch and the other terminal on the switch goes to ground. So the motor has power and the switch does nothing more than ground it out.
Mike is right, I remember now the power wire doesn't go to the switch at all but is connected straight to a power source(with a fuse of course), one earth wire goes straight to the switch and the other to ground, the rotor button setup still works the same but through the earth side of things not power.
