...great minds think alike Alex   Smiley

i like the wrap around screen of the FB/EK, coupled to an FE/FC front, you would have a little Chev.

Cheers

Not a rear end  Roll Eyes but here's a link to an FE-C with an FB-EK roof that I spied on the FB-EK Club site

Not too bad

FE's are great when they've got a V8

I think the reason the hybrid fc/ek hasn't been done before successfully, is because when putting the 2 different bodies together before welding, the person doing it found that they wouldn't stay together, they were always trying to push apart. No matter how much he tried, with clamping, spot welding, etc, the 2 different bodies just didn't want to stay together. Just like when you try and push the 2 positive ends of a magnet together, no matter how hard you try they just won't go together. And that is why noone should try to join the 2 together. Next thing you know someone will suggest to do it with a F#*D Anglia front and a FC back.  Wink Huh

Funny that you say this, but when I was racing there was an Anglia that had been grafted to a very modified FC floorpan, Grey mechanicals with the light 105e Anglia body. Had huge flares to cover the tyres, handled brilliantly, went like a scalded cat. Engine was nearly inside with the driver.

I’m still thinking about this…If a mustang front can be grafted to an HQ, an FE front can be grafted to an FB.
Use the FB guards and bonnet modify the forward section of the guards only with the headlights off an FE.
Very tempted to have a go at this.

Hey Ed.
The FJ boys have been putting FE front sections on their guards for years, no reason why you couldn't backdate FB ones in a similar fashion.
