Bought this vehicle unseen ,apparently has a 186 in it . Have cropped and sharpened the pic best I could to try and show the trans tunnel and shift . Obviously an auto,  any guesses as to what might lurk under there ..
Unfortunately won't be able to provide any info for a while as I'm away working and it's not home yet ..
Seens it supposed to have a 186 in it hopefully there's a HR front end in there as well , time will tell..

Cheers Fred

Yeah I did see what I thought was a clutch pedal and then told myself it wasn't , after looking again and after your comments it appears to be .. The shift threw me also as it looks like a generic type auto shift of old ..
Will let you all know when I get to see it eventually , which could be a month or so due to work ... Bugger !!

I reckon it looks like an early commodore auto shifter with a custom gate set up.  Maybe.    Dave

Spoke to the lady I bought it off today , she confirmed it is an auto . She doesn't really know much else about the car .. It's going to be a lucky dip  Smiley

How exciting!! I love buying unseen. If you do the maths and get it for the right price Vs risk, it can be a lot of fun figuring out what you've bought. Can't wait to hear what it's got.

G'day Chris , car gets picked up next Tuesday so I'm thinking should be later that week ..
Paid $3800.00 , I'm thinking that's not to bad plus the $990.00 to get it home .. I was bidding on one 5 years ago that was in primer like this one and it went for a bit over $5000.00 so I'm pretty happy with that since it's 5 years on .
I've been playing with Split Window Kombis for the last few years now , you don't get a lot for 5 grand in that market , and I see more Splits around on my travels than I see FC Panels so I'm pretty bloody happy let me tell you ..
Car will be getting dropped off at a mates rod shop so he can go over it and give me an idea what rust extraction will cost and what will be needed for Blueslip and if it's not to excessive will let him start on it until I can get home and have a play .

Cheers Fred
