Hi,

Thought I'd post a pic of me testing out my latest other project.

Suzuki 250cc (RGV250) track bike.

Managed to run 1.55 around Eastern Creek on Saturday!

Cheers

Ed

Great shots Ed....it's interesting to note how many of us FC ( and FE ) nuts are so into bikes....I've just sold my 2002 Triumph Sprint ST 955i and bought a 93 Ducati Supersport 900...that's right...downtraded.....need the cash for the FC resto !

I love bikes, but I'm not quite a good a rider as your photos show you to be !

Excellent stuff..thanks for sharing the pics !

yeah thats the way bud, looks like heaps of fun,ive got an old 1987 CBR1000 that still goes harder than im game to ride so i have a good time when im riding but i dont think im a good enough rider to race on tracks, but i admire the talent of those that can and do.

I could easily have a stable of bikes.

It will be great to tow them to the track on the back of the FE!

I set up the RGV for track days only, it's pretty much stock std.  I binned my CBR600 out there a few years back, so the RGV is a cheap thrill.

My roadie is a VTR1000 which has gold valves and race tech suspension, it's needing some TLC, particularly the head bearing as it loves (and so do I) to do wheelies.

I love the V twin sound, so the Ducati is a nice choice Mark Smiley

Everybody can track ride Nicko, its easier than road riding as its under entirely controlled conditions with excellent surface (no motorists, dogs, potholes etc).  Give it a go, you will be hooked.

Cheers

Ed

VTR 1000  Hmmmmm   NICE BIKE !

I agree, you just can't go past the sound of a V-Twin, and I'm not talking about cackling Harleys !

I hear what you are saying about racing on a track....you are right.....I think if I had the chance to spend a day lapping a racetrack in controlled conditions, I think I'd wet myself !

HEy Rabbit,

That's a unique piece of well engineered motorcycle there. many dollars and hours spent too it looks.  Nice.  Plenty of attitude.  Also has drag bike potential.

altho pass me the keys of a sportsbike anyday!

Cheers

Guys
Like Ed says , "no greater feeling" than pulling out onto a track , no side streets , no pedestrians , no kids on skateboards/bikes and best of all "NO RADARS". You got no Idea of the feeling , just freedom to open it up, and watch the tacho climb .... Grin

PS Bugger I moved from Sydney just before Eastern Creek opened , and I only lived over the hill at Erskine Park .... Embarrassed
