Wheel Studs - Nuts!

When I got the ute last year there were 2 studs that were a bit sus. I got a pack of new studs and nuts sent over from rares and decided to change one of them today, since it was lovely inclement weather outside.

Anyway, it was a bit of a tough job but I got the cover of the rear wheel and was looking at the studs - I decided to use the tap and die set first just to see if it would work out. Seems to be OK but when I go to put the cover back on - no beans!

I think there is a slight, ever so slight, bend in that stud which is why is was probably hard to pop off in the first place. So now I want to take that stud off and put one of the new ones in - whats the best way to do it without having to pull the whole thing apart? Can it be beat out with a hammer? Clamp? Puller?

They are pressed in and can usually be knocked out by screwing a nut on till it is level with the end and giving a sharp whack with a good heavy hammer ( carefully), to fit new stud put in place slip a bigger nut/washers over thread, fit good nut wrong way round, make sure spline is lined up tighten nut and it will pull stud into place. Did you ship your car there or are there some early holdens in uk.
