Genral motors holden employee number badge rare

  ;)Hi there  all  i was wondering could anyone tell me what this mite b worth  also to a collector  i stumbled on it the other day in my cupboard, it is a genuine original employees genral motors holden badge.
with hte original employees number in it it is a very rare and old badge  it has an embossed  emblem on it also the words genral motors holden are embossed in it .

Keith, depends on its age.  Every Holden employee got a badge and they are not really rare.  But the older they are the rarer they get.  Badges which date back to 1948 are worth more than badges from the seventies.
Collectors can tell from the number on the back.
The 2 I have are round with the emblem from the back of the FC handbook on them.  The words around the edge say "ADVANCEMENT OF TRANSPORTATION" One is green and one is black.  They come from different departments. On eis numbered W779, the other D235.
I think mine are both 50's era, but not entirely sure.
My opinion is that they are worth between $50 and $100 each.

Hi Ken thank you for your reply the badge has a number on the rear it looks like 44  also i think it says somthing else on the back but to hard to see  the number in the paper window with the plastic over it is 10519 employee number by the look of it . cheers keith.
