I have a hd/hr ute cable from memory, i also have a 2.5" exhuast, is the cable normally below the ehuast or over?
it looks like i might need some pulley or something in there either way to clear the exhuast and tailshaft.

Cable normally goes between the floor and the exhaust. You can use a hook to pull the cable where you want it - have a look at a HQ set-up for ideas.
