41  For Sale and Wanted / Other Stuff For Sale / Rotisserie for sale on: January 27, 2021, 05:41:42 AM
Home made rotisserie made from plans by Redwing designs.fully adjustable with hydraulic rams front and back..it comes with 4 mounting brackets made to fit FC Holden..two mounts are for when the subframe is attached and  bolt to front bumper bar mounts and rear bolts to rear bumper bar mounts...two mounts are for with subframe removed and bolt to bottom bonnet hinge hole and middle subframe mounting hole, rear bolts to the rear spring hangers and give plenty of room to work around rear end if needed.rotisserie has enough height you can roll car shell completely around..after 3 years on rotisserie I will be removing it and finally putting it down on its wheels in about two weeks time and no longer needed, only selling for cost of materials to make it... $800 will post photos soon or pm me

I would say Ardiesse has hit the nail on the head..a clutch plate will grow to the flywheel if it hasn’t been used for a long period of time
44  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: FE FC rear spring centre bolts on: December 17, 2020, 09:59:57 PM
Hi Marco
It’s the centre bolt in the middle of the spring it locates each end of the diff housing onto the spring itself..the rounded heads of the bolt are about 15mm long and the shops I have been to don’t have them that long..they actually told me they have never seen them that long so I guess they haven’t dealt in older cars
45  Technical Board / General Technical / FE FC rear spring centre bolts on: December 17, 2020, 04:09:45 PM
Has any one had to buy new centre bolts if so where did you buy them...my local bolt supplier has centre bolts but not the size I need...
46  General / General Board / Re: FE lower guard rust replacement panel on: December 02, 2020, 05:55:04 PM
I had the same problem with my fc guards I had to cut horizontally and put a half inch section in the middle to get it to fit

48  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: Fc Ute A pillar on: October 19, 2020, 07:47:00 PM
Jim before I replaced my sills inner and outer I measured across from the bottom door hinge bolts on the A pillar..measured again after I cut sill out and Measurements were the same ..only thing I found was the A pillar moved back about 5 mm...I fitted the scuff plate just used the front hole put the screw in then the B pillar screw in then tacked inner sill in place..

49  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Rear spring slipper pads on: October 19, 2020, 07:12:20 PM
Yes that right the nylon ones that go onto end of each spring leaf...I looked on the rares spares site And they have them but only for Fx-Fj ,,they look the same but the specs say there for the wide spring leaf...does anyone know how much wider the FJ spring is to FE-FC
50  Technical Board / General Technical / Rear spring slipper pads on: October 18, 2020, 08:37:30 AM
Can you still buy the original style, the rectangular ones with the lip the spring sits in or do they only make them round like I’ve seen for sale
Cheers
Dennis

Who has used rare spares rear bottom Quarter panel patch...Looks as though you have to do some mods where the lip folds underneath apart from that it seems pretty good
54  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Early holden fuel tanks fe fc fb ek on: August 28, 2020, 09:22:39 PM
I have two fc wagon tanks one has a good top and one a good bottom I was going to make one out of the two..maybe carefully unpick the good bits...oh well a rainy day job I’m thinking
55  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Early holden fuel tanks fe fc fb ek on: August 27, 2020, 08:57:27 PM
Thanks ken,I thought they may have been seam welded like you say two rollers doing a continuous weld...I’ll still put my two tanks that I thought I might have been able to make one good one up in the rafters...I can’t bring myself to throw them out
56  Technical Board / General Technical / Early holden fuel tanks fe fc fb ek on: August 26, 2020, 07:28:03 PM
Does anyone know how they joined the top and bottom sections of the fuel tanks together, were they seam welded? Spot welded?

58  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Rear jack mount and plate for front seat rear mounting holes on: August 17, 2020, 06:13:07 AM
Would section of just the jack mount plate comes off the inner sill and the front seat rear mounting holes for f series just the bits marked in red

59  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Nasco gear leaver lock on: August 11, 2020, 03:24:11 PM
I’ll give them a try..for $13 delivered even if the don’t fit I’ll use them on something..the only thing that might be a problem is the length of the head that breaks off might not be long enough to get a spanner or socket between it and the lock housing
60  Technical Board / General Technical / Nasco gear leaver lock on: August 10, 2020, 10:05:10 PM
Will a gear leaver lock for a FB EK fit onto a FC steering column and also does anyone know where I can get the shear bolts for the same,I’ve been searching for weeks on the net and have come across plenty but not the length or thread I need...they have them on eBay but a bit expensive at $150 for two of them...
