General / Events, Shows etc / Wang Swap Meet Pics
on: April 27, 2005, 11:57:47 AM
Apologies to all for not making it to the Vic titles, I had a prior commitment for Anzac weekend with an old digger! I managed to drop into the Wang swap meet and got a couple of pics. Sorry I couldn't get a pic of the id plate on the wagon, my camera shat itself!!! All I got was FC 210 or 9? 46300 A from the plate, can anyone shed some light on the single front doors and rear barn door's, is this a rare one? Got some other pics going up on the general board also of some FE and FC's. Nick

Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Grey Motor- Gas Conversion?
on: April 13, 2005, 08:31:44 AM
Ta Ret, Thank's for the info regarding the conversion, I have learned another valuable bit of knowledge about Grey Motors - A couple of people had asked me if I was going to put her on gas. That's all Having previously owned a dual fuel 4x4 running an old 2F, I was also just curious, myself about whether it could be done to the old grey. I pretty much knew the cost involved and any benifit's to be gained. But thank's for the link from MM.

Technical Board / General Technical / Grey Motor- Gas Conversion?
on: April 12, 2005, 07:28:26 AM
Hey Guys, Just a quick couple of questions, with petrol predicted to reach the $1.50 mark sometime in the near future, what are the possibilities of converting the old cars on to gas?
Has anyone done it?
Is it possible? What was the outcome?

For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: Air Chief Aerial to Radio Cable
on: April 07, 2005, 09:41:36 AM
Hey Red, Just a tip if you use ebay, don't limit your search to just FE/FC Holden...try (old holden) - (anything holden) even (old car parts)...it involves a bit of searching but you never know. This was listed under HK/HG Holden -
The good thing is that if you do find something you can use and they are listed under another car type they will be a genuine seller and they don't attract too many bids either.
Nick p.s I know where there are a couple of wrecks and I will check them out for you, won't be untill next week tho.

Technical Board / Restoration Help / Horn Button and Badges
on: April 05, 2005, 10:01:14 AM
Hey Guys, I did a search of the last 100 days or so but couldn't find anything. Q: Is there a way of repainting, colouring the horn button, badges and hubcaps back to the old holden black and red, any tips would be awsome...be it spraying or brush or anything someone has tried and worked?

Same area Albury/Wodonga - I am taking into account condition, location - This Ute is pretty stuffed, it had a serious fight with a tree on the rear end!! but it has a decent front end and the motor is still in it, I have heaps of other pics also. It still has the steering wheel and dash and three decent rims. Just drop me a line if ya want to see more pics. Like I said before, don't make any offer yet just contact me if you are interested. I have heaps of pics from all angles but I don't wana clog the forum. I will email you. I have taken into account it's bush location, condition and transporting it where ever - so if you get my drift and you are really keen for a project, email me and don't make an offer yet. Cheers Nick P.s If not she will be stripped for parts

Hi Ken, Thats amazing, it would have been very exciting to have found her brother or sister so to speak. I will get you photos of the FC and FJ Ute ID plates that are up where I picked up the wagon. I think I should start another topic soon as I want to start getting some parts together. If I can use part's from the other two Holdens to bargain with it, it will be a bonus.
Thanks for everything
Nick
