i noticed mine (rare spares) were cracked up around the edges after about 6 months but before the car got on the road. also noticed my timing cover neoprene seal (acl) was splitting out around the edges before i got the new motor running, dunno if its the environment here or rubber and neoprene is worse now than it was or if rubber and neoprene doesnt like sitting around fitted to the car without being used

was just looking up the itinerary and things to do in orange, looks like i can lap town all night or sit back at the motel room watching tv as around christmas i didnt have enough money for entry and meals for 4 But, a couple of weeks ago i lost my job and got a redundancy payout . so if anyones car blows up reversing out the driveway tommorow or something else like that happens or wont be there for the 4 days, and they have meals for two adults and two kids i will buy them off you if they are transferable. otherwise its take away burgers and laps every night for us.

if you are lucky you might find a bare front end with the mounts and outriger already done, my replacement was a drum front end that had been fitted to a FC, i just swapped all the disc stuff onto it.

your nearly there, that purple dodge heading to WA has travelled im pretty sure from north of sydney, looks like a fun trip, my tailgate comes open sometimes too. be carefull with the cruise control, if you have a strong return spring you could get woken up with a nasty jab in the nuts.

With the tank im getting rid of the fuel tank and putting the gas in its place going to loose the spare tyre space but all will be covered by sheet metal when finished regards fatboy
i will suss it out as i am still considering gas, maybe i should do the tank when Andrew is up here if i do it after yours is done. i am also thinking of conformable tanks but they are expensive.

i have a red motor with a tri matic, 185/70/13, 3.08 ive found taking off it looses traction and revs out if you are not gentle on the throttle but then when it gets traction the revs drop a little and then pull back up very quick then 2nd goes quick and top gear. i assumed 3.08 would be to high for take off but accelerating from 30-40 kph sometimes creates tyre smoke and accelerating at highway speeds shows a big rise in the front left corner of the car, i was thinking of fitting 185/80/13

i think my cable was LC torana, anyway it seems to short and the inner has snapped i think due to tight bends, what cable are people using with trimatics, 3 speed all synchro and aussie 4 speed

it was always parked on the side of the road across the road from cardiff rta, apparently that car went real hard, i remember when i was getting my FCCOOL plates and the girl in the RTA said i couldnt have FC on my plates becuase she thought it was obsene, i dont know what she was thinking but i said "its a friggin FC holden like that one across the road with 1BADFC on the plates" one day i snaped a axle in mayfeild out the front of a house with a FC ute out in the front yard, i was going to knock on the door but it turned out a mate from town lived next door and he came out just as i got out of the car and drove me around the corner to a mates house where i got a axle from a genuine X2 HD in his back yard rusting away, so we went back and i asked this guy (Red) if he ever spoke to his neighbour, he said "he just lost his leg and he has a real shit hot blue & silver V8 FC in the back yard"
