3  Technical Board / Restoration Help / accelerator linkage on: January 29, 2024, 09:37:21 PM
Hi all
Just fitted the linkage to the firewall and the rod that goes from left to right seems to have a lot off play
      between the locating brackets.
Is there a spring or something that fits to the end of the linkage rod to take up the play?
I sort of remember that a small spring and washer was on the left hand side.
my memory's not to good as it was 35 years ago when I unbolted it
If not than I might put a couple of felt washers in there to compensate .
              Thanks again Brad.

4  Technical Board / Restoration Help / how to id left from right tie rod on: January 29, 2024, 09:22:55 PM
I think I might have mixed up my tie rod's while working on them.
One has a part # 9093 and the other has nothing on it . ??
I'm sure I read here that all left hand parts end in an odd number.
Or do the original grease nipples face front or rear ?
  All help appreciated.
        Thanks Brad.

9  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Stabilizer bar conecting bolts x two on: March 27, 2023, 04:09:50 PM
 Hi all
I'm after 2 stabilizing bar conecting bolts for the FC as mine have rusted with one having no thread at at all on on end.
In the workshop manual they are called  " Stud - Front Stabilizer Spacer "  . They bolt the stabilizer bar to the lower control arm .
FB and EK seem to be the same so that would work as well.
I know that I can get after market generic bolts but I'm trying to keep the car as original as possible .
         Thanks Brad

Hello Greg
I did a wheel on my FB a couple of years ago . I cleaned / opened out the cracks with a hacksaw blade then filled in the gaps with araldite. Sanded and filed it back then got a mate to paint it in two pak black. looked as good as new and Cost less than $100.

15  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: difference between panel van and ute floor on: June 15, 2015, 10:22:21 PM
Hi waynos.
I would like to buy the inner bracing struts on the van if possible. There are six on a windowless van , three down either side . They run vertically from the roof line down to the top of the rear quarter panel.
              Thanks Brad.

Alloy frames are good but rubbers are stuffed and glass on each one has cracks. Glass is laminated and the front piece on one is cracked ,the other is cracked on the rear. Similar in shape and size to wagon rear door window. Pick up from QLD 4161 or can arrange postage at your cost. Nearly went to the dump on the weekend but I thought some one might want them?

20  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: FE horn ring on: May 01, 2012, 10:50:04 PM
Hi Franno
I have one in my shed that is fair condition , Email me at   bandcrodgers@optusnet.com.au    or phone  0468 947 819  and I can send you some pics .
I'm in Brisbane but I can post it to you in a steel crate but you will have to pay the postage Grin  . I was going to put it on EBay and get a gazillion bucks for a super rare NOS FE horn ring blah blah blah. But I'd rather see some one with a daily driver using it. The $70  bucks you mentioned seems more than fair for one . Also have 2x arm rests for Fe in very ordinary condition if you are interested.
