what size tyres are you trying to fit under the guard as 225/50r15 fit very easily without the guard being rolled im running the same size tyre and trying to set up a mono leaf airbag set up at the moment and i can lower it over 3" before they scrub

ive done it 2 different ways before
cut down the middle of the arch and across the bottom, move it out and add a section into the arch as per width extend, so as inside the car it looks stock only 1-2" wider
cut on the edge of inner panel and across the bottom, give it to a shetty and get them to roll some 3/16 steel to the same curve and size but install a straight panel on the end so as its not increasing the width only allowing the tyre to fit inside better

all i can say is look into what ever you decied to buy, as you can rebuild a rusted out shell for 20+ and only have car worth 1/2 that, in vic they seem to go for 8-25k depending on condition, i brought my mid/late last year (spent 3 years dreaming and close to 4 years looking) semi rest free, fc for 13.5 and have sense spend close to 2 to make it safe to drive, and mine is near stock but i have seen close to or rwc one's go for 8-10,
parts are getting more expensive and harder to find, so if i were u idd do the sums, and happy hunting

there are a few other options if its a daily lexis 4ltr (200kw but can hit 300 very easily) rover 3.5-4ltr (not for me) 304 injection and heads on 253
unless your happy with a 6, and the options are endless there
if its not a daily club reg/hotrod reg (unrestricted up to 460ci) able to be driven 90day a year(nilly 2 days a week)
ICV cost a bit more (used for kit cars) but you can fit an ls1 on a daily this way
or rebody another car with your shell as a transplant

Ive spoken to a locally approved engineer/vehicle inspector, and Im only allowed 5 times the weight of the FE Special Sedan as manufactured, which weighed 1080 kg for engine capacity, which works out to 5400cc, or 5.4 litre - damn there goes the 5.7 litre ls-1 motor.
This basically only leaves me with the 304 holden efi motor to go for unless anyone knows a way I could get the ls-1 motor transplant approves here in W.A.
I will have to look out for a donor car for the transplant
What are the best models to use, and who is the best to buy conversion gear through?
Cheers
Faedy
what state are you in in vic when i spoke to a few its 4x weight, thats why im lookn at a hq rail transplant or comodore floor graft same fevanv6, as im looking at ls6 or ls7

im still recommending the pin sockets, thats what all the thieves use, grips onto any size nut, and lock, even workes on SHCS, ive even proved it to work on anti theft spotlight nut
