the EK metal seat sides are much better than the plastic and fitted without ant modifications.

I still have to block it back and buff it before i can put all the stainless and door handles, Im not looking forward to that.

it will be si rego, so only taken out a few times a year.

put in new springs in the front, look like a old drag car sitting up at the front.
also the seat cover from pete is now in, i changed it a bit and it looks fantastic as i have no real budget left for a new interior yet.

New motor.
New suspension.

Fresh rebuilt 138, 30thou over pistons and a mild cam.
3 speed crash box.
back to 4 wheel drum brakes.
and back to being drivable again, only a few things left to do like Gear shift, tie rod ends, front springs, handbrake, front bumper, door/boot rubbers, windlacing and a buff then put the stainless on.

25  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Piston Identification on: July 10, 2014, 08:20:57 PM
Thank you all for you answers.
In my post I made a mistake with the bore size.
Should have been 3.095 ish so now it all makes sense.
26  Technical Board / General Technical / Piston Identification on: July 08, 2014, 08:06:46 PM
ive pulled down my new grey motor its a b series so its out oft FB.
Thee doesn't seem to be much lip on the bore, Im trying to work out if its original bore, the pistons are marked with "RB2075 F40" and "Top .001" i know what the top means. 2 of the pistons dont have the F before the 40.
From what i know "RB2075" is the part number does the "F40" mean .40 over sized?
but measuring with the calipers i get 3.065 on the pistions and 3.90 on the top of the bore.

any clues. i think its standard.

StreetTrim
FYI for anyone thinking about getting their interior done by me.
I will be putting my Motor Trimming on hiatus until the end of the year, I will still be selling various products and hope to have the swirly headlining in this year  Roll Eyes but due to unexpectedly picking up some contract work I will not be able to make up door trims and seat covers etc.

All existing booked/promised jobs will be completed as soon as possible or by negotiation.

Cheers

From this i thought he wasn't doing any more? And i was wanting to have mine done, But i have found someone else now.

I've been messing with hubcaps, I like the look of the FC hubcap and have been able to adapt them to the commodore rim, i also have another set with more offset but ill use them after rego.
Im not sure if i like the look with the rim. Does it look out of place on there?

Jobs finished this week.
Clutch, Used a Trailer brake master cylinder, fits perfect with the VH booster, there is only millimeters between them.

Gear shifter, Moved it forward, had to make some custom bracket/linkages. Rear gearbox mount finished and tail shaft in.

its all ready to drive and will drive with a fuel tank and radiator.
