Hi Rod,

I should have the heater ducts in hand soon, as they are complete and finished.  i did put out a notice for interest in these and because of the small response I only had a handful of sets made up.  Most have already been sold, however there may ( Huh ) be a couple extras.  If not, I will have the moulds to make them for additional orders.

I will try take them to the next club meet so people can suss them out properly.

Cheers

Ed

2963  Technical Board / General Technical / Fixing Rear bumper mount on: January 11, 2002, 03:51:23 AM
In the rear subframe are threaded inserts which the bumper brakets mount.  One of mine is missing (torn out) and the previous  owner has butchered it (on the inside of the frame) to get a nut onto the bolt.

Does anybody know of a threaded insert I can use to fix this?

there is not much room to get a  torch in there to weld a nut on the inside either.

I have a couple of ideas but want to know if anybody else has experienced a similar problem..

thx

Ed

does anybody know how to get more hours into a day also?

Hi, I would like to start up my motor (carbed 308), however have not yet installed the entire wiring.

Could somebody advise me of the most basic wiring set up req'd to start and run a motor.

most importantly the starter circuit without killing my expensive starter motor.

thanks

 Huh
I saw an ad once about a new type of battery that could be mounted in any position, were not of the liquid type, and were alot smaller than lead-acid baterries.  Does anybody know of these?

2968  General / General Board / Re: Warmaride heater on: September 04, 2001, 01:59:01 AM
Im looking for a warmaride heater or smiths equivalent for my FE.

Update on heater ducts... the mould has been made, and i should have some prototypes this time next week.
i will try place a pic for all to see, but expected price is and shouldnt exceed 20 dollars a piece.

Hi Bill,

Im doing alight fix up of an FE wagon too.. taken me 5 years so far!. the parts i am referring to are the parts that connect hose to under dash. They screw into the dash under the vent holes.

Hello,

I am determining the feasability of getting a short run of reproduction fibreglass heater ducts made.  These are modelled directly off an original duct and am trying to get numbers so i can finalise a cost with the fibreglasser.

I am unsure of the final cost, however an indication of numbers required would point me in the right direction.

I f you are interested in these email me at ed-ho@i... or ring me on mobile 0404 848 774.

I hope to have the first prototype made within the next 2 weeks, after which i should be able to supply a picture of the original versus the reproduction.

please email me if you are interested.

thanks
Ed
