It is the same plug that was used for the "A" battery, 1.5 volts, for the old valve portable radios.  If Nostalgic cannot help you I could look through my stack of radio parts am possibly may be able to find one.

Keith

Hi Keith .. thought I had seen one before, I have a Peter Pan portable radio, in the shed, so will grab the end off that .. All I need now is the aerial lead .. thanks for your help .. Regards Stephen

Stephen, I had a quick search for the round 2 pin plugs and don't have a lot of good news.If they are the round type then you would be better off changing the socket to another type.I would be happy to do this for you but if you are in a small town or know a tv/audio repairer they would be able to do it for you.
Cheers Mark.
Hi Mark .. Thank you for the info, yes 2 small round holes in the side of the radio, one larger than the other,.. have installed the radio, so reluctant to take out, and pull the radio to pieces to change it .. I have seen some around at swap meets on early car wiring, so will keep checking and hopefully will pick one up, I .. I am not too fussed that it;s not working yet, still looks good mounted in the dash,.. just thought that someone on the Forum might have had a spare laying around .. Thank you .. Regards Stephen

Hi .. I was lucky enough to pick up a FC Air Chief radio with most of the fittings at the Horsham Swap Meet last weekend, but need a couple of things to get it working .. is there anyone that can help me with the aerial cable that screws into the radio and then onto the base of the Aerial, ( if the two go together and are available, will purchase both) and I also need the two small male terminals that the speaker wires go into,  they are then pushed into the side of the radio ,. one hole looks larger than the other .. any help would be appreciated .. Regards Stephen

Call me Cranky BUT... I accepted the "QUOTE" from ACR for $1115 and that was a hard decision to make. Get an email back saying their quote is now $1145 due to increased fuel costs. Whats 30 bucks worth of fuel into 1700K's.  I told them to shove it! :-*my ass.
Back to the drawing board!  Cry.
Got two more leads and then if that doesn't work out its a ROAD TRIP.
Kathi ...what are you doing next Saturday at 2.10pm
lets see
1. Fuel pump... check
2. tools.... check
3. sleeping bag... check
4. fence wire.... check
5. map of adelaide... check
6. no doz.... check
7. check on those screws that Pete is talking about

Hi Han,

Just thought that I would let you know that there was a guy at the Ballarat swap meet selling repro Nasco mudflaps for early holden and Torana. I think he has been doing this for quite a while as he had a whole bunch with him....looked OK. His name is Travis Waters (email: travwaters at hotmail.com).

No idea how they compare with yours of course but thought that it would be useful for you to know..

Jonno
Just a follow up on this, I emailed the Travis and his mudflaps look identical as do the brackets, and are $35 cheaper .. he has them on ebay item number 260750162878 .. Regards Stephen
30  For Sale and Wanted / Reproduction Parts / Re: restorers_paradise rubber kits ?? on: March 11, 2011, 07:07:44 PM
Yes .. have purchased the door handle rubbers and were OK .. bought rare spares moulded door seals and were OK , but used my old sections around the front door hinges, so I did not get the TONGUE sticking out when the door closed, used Scotts rubbers for the boot rubber and leaked like sieve, so suggest another supplier for the boot rubber .used rares bailey channels, but be careful and check that they are all the same and have a slight taper, they mixed mine up and I had some FC and some EH which are different and DO NOT FIT ..when you put the bailey channels in, cut them with a very fine cutting disc on a small 4 inch grinder, you get a neater cut, and then file any burs off with fine file ..  I found that the went in nice and firm without any adhesive on them, the first couple I put some adhesive on them and had a hell of a mess, ...as they were a firm press in fit, I did not use anything on the rest of them, ..you can always put some adhesive on after, but if you put it on first, theirs nothing you can do .... hope this helps .. Regards Stephen

32  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: FC Special moulding clip set on: February 02, 2011, 07:22:07 PM
Hi .. I used sparecity set and found that they were short on a few pieces, ie not enough pieces in the set, so had to buy a few from Rares and found that they were the same  .. so I dont think it matters where you buy them, just make sure you get what you pay for .. Regards Stephen

34  For Sale and Wanted / Reproduction Parts / Rare Spares FC Holden Rear Shackles on: December 31, 2010, 09:38:53 AM
Rare Spares rear Shackle Pins & Bushes..
Due to a sqeak in the rear end I decided to repace the passenger side rear shackle rubbers and pins .. about 12 months ago I replaced one side with a Repco red neoprene set of shackles, but decided to do both sides, and use Rare Spares reproduction shackles sets, as they were more original looking .. the rears went in smoothly, and as usual the fronts were more difficult,.. I have fitted probably 20 or 30 sets of these fronts in about as many years, and usually pull the pin thru with the nut,.. but before fitting I checked the Forum and found that they strip the thread, so used 'G' clamps instead,.. more awkward but worked in the end, so imagine my surprise when I did the nut up after all this and it stripped Huh? CHEAP CHINESE CRAP.. I do not blame Rares in QLD where I bought them from on Ebay, (as it saved me petrol, I thought, but postage was more than Aust Post charged anyway ).. No problems with Sandi at Rares in Qld, but have had NO WORD or REFUND from their head office ( who were going to test them) after 2 months and a couple of emails .. MY advice for what it's worth is get Repco parts for your shackles .. Regards Stephen

Hi Pete & Jeff .. hope your Xmas was great and you both and your families have a safe and prosperous New Year .. yes back to 1952 or is that backward because it's a pommy car.. bought a little Singer Roadster from a local at the Bendigo Swap Meet this year,  which he bought in about 1992, and he started to restore it .. he pulled it all to pieces, and thats how I bought it , 999 pieces,.. a big jigsaw .. but it will keep me out of trouble for a while .. took the FC for a run down to Hindmarsh Island today, and went like a dream .. Regards Stephen

Hi Spybo .. sorry it took so long to get back to you about the original owner of my FC .. but the bloke I bought it from was going to arrange it, but he has disappeared off the face of the earth .. probably interstate on a car run YOU WERE RIGHT .. in a box of spares found some paper work when he put safety rims on the car, and had his name JACK HENRY  .. so I hear he is still alive, and in his nineties, so will give him a phone call and let him know that I have restored his old car .. may even be able to get a photo of him sitting inside, if he is still OK .. Regards Stephen
