Hey all I have for sale a VH commodore rack, intermediate shaft and steering column and HQ short steering arms to suit the items needed by rods racks for a rack and pinion conversion. It is the correct length intermediate shaft as well. All you need to supply after this is your FE column. I am after $150.00 for the lot or if you want front rack I also have a torana rack which I can swap for the commodore one for the same price or will trade for good FE bits.

G'day all unfortunately I have to sell my project FE sedan due to unforeseen circumstances.
The shell has had 98% of the rust work done which was inner and outer drivers side sill, outer passenger sill, all floors repaired or replaced, both A pillars rebuilt, Both dog legs repaired and new lower quarters. The only thing left to repair is the spare wheel well inside the boot area. I have also strengthened and repaired the subframe section that goes from side to side of the car and incorporates the trans mount. I have also added a chassis strengthening beam on both sides to stiffen the old girl up. There are about 8 or so doors with at least a full set ready to go. there is a bonnet and bootlid in good condition as well. It needs a new front k frame as mine is rusty. It has a dash and glove box lid and a few chrome bits and most glass. It has an EH front end in it as well for better brakes etc and will have a fe diff. No motor or box or interior or harness and also needs a grill and drivers guard and bonnet catch section . Chasing around the $800.00 mark for it.

Thanks Keith, What about just bolting the 149 to my Grey box. The engine will be standard so wont be too much power put through it. Might put a towing cam in purely for a tiny bit of bottom end torque to cart my family of 5.

Hey all just wondering if an EH crash box can be a bolt in item in my FE or can\should  I just bolt the 149 straight up to the grey box. The reason I am going for a 149 is so I dont have to do umpteen hundred mods for a 161 or bigger and I can still have the extra reliability and ease of parts of a red motor.

Even if repro ones are close ish and just resemble the originals then people will still buy them until the manufacturers make them exact.
