As Craig A mentioned I bought my car new.

I purchased my Fe new on the 2nd of October 1957 when I was 21 and not long after I had served a 5 year apprentiship as a motor mechanic.

OK you win - but in all honesty, I think we're all winners  Cheesy

Congrats guys Smiley

I've had my sedan for 30 years - bought it off my dad's uncle (original owner) early October 1983. He couldn't drive anymore and just wanted it to go to someone who would look after it - I reckon I might have just met his criteria.  Cheesy

I originally bought the van in December 1984 - reluctantly separated from it in 1990 only to be reunited with it in August 2007.

So, while there was a gap with the van, technically I can say I still have the first two cars I ever owned.  Smiley

I thoroughly agree with so many of the comments above.

I'm sure that while you will think of him many times in the future you will have especially fond memories whenever you are in, or near, your FC.

NES304 - it's a Subaru BRZ..... put another badge on it and slightly different cosmetics and it suddenly becomes a Toyota 86 (both made in the Subaru factory).  The "twins" were jointly awarded 2012 Car of the Year. Lotta fun, it goes round bends at top speed like it's on rails  Shocked but also very easy to drive in peak hour traffic.  Smiley

David - one black car in the family is enough!  Tongue  Cheesy

Pedro and Jack - it's definitely gutted!  Grin Grin

No updates at the moment but can confirm that there should be progress some time after 12 July. It's on "the list"  Grin

Until then though, we have a new daily driver........

Colour matched sharkfin antenna and stealth indicator globes get put on/in tomorrow. Just waiting on springs and camber kit to lower it 1" all round - just enough to close the gap a little but still remain legal. Must admit it's a fun little car to drive - definitely a lot of bang for your buck!  Smiley

Ummm, Ahhh, THANKS MATE Shocked, breaks into cold sweat, how can i put this without offending anyone, while i do like all black cars it's not what i'm aiming for with my build after all haven't we all said on here many times that we all have different tastes and it would be a boring old world if we all did the same thing, whether it be standard or custom or black or white, how's that do you think that will get me out of trouble with all the black car owners out there (and a certain one in particular) Wink Grin Grin
              Pedro

Reasonably well said Pedro - I would have been inclined to say "it gets a little boring and, unfortunately, sometimes embarrassing when one attempts to replicate the ultimate in good taste only to fail".

I think it's extremely admirable of you to recognise and admit your shortcomings so as not to embarrass yourself further.  Kiss Kiss Kiss

I'm very impressed with how you managed to keep within the lines Pedro!  Tongue   Grin

Yeah Jack, me and my big mouth, although i do have a certain photo of someone when they were younger that could be used to persuade(blackmail) a certain person into going easy on me Grin Grin

Shame on you Pedro - you really think that would stop me?  Grin
36  Galleries / Members' Completed FE-FC Projects / Re: FCRB30 Wagon on: April 18, 2013, 03:53:07 PM
so glad to hear you are getting back into the wagon Pedro - now, on what day can we expect our weekly updates?  Wink  Grin

Remember that you have a lot of family, friends and forum members who care for you Pedro and will be there for support in the tough times ahead that you are still yet to face.   Kiss Kiss

Sorry to hear about your Dad.  Do those things together now that you've always wanted to and create new memories you will look back fondly on in times to come. Life is too short to stuff around.

So pleased for you, Mez and your family for how everything turned out yesterday - despite a few dark clouds, your love for each other shone through as bright as the sparkly bits on her dress!  Smiley
