61  Galleries / Project Cars - FEs and FCs Under Construction / Re: Cams FC Resto on: May 29, 2019, 06:22:54 PM

I used to have a Tacho mounted to the A pillar.
Ed Ho had similar dash to your design but extended through to the centre grille, couldn't find any photos though.

63  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Clean Vinyl? on: April 06, 2019, 07:59:37 PM
Ever wonder if that vinyl was worth saving or not?

Variable speed drill Drill, $1:50 round hand scrubbing brush, nut, bolt and a bottle of Jif.

Link to brush
https://www.bunnings.com.au/morgan-palm-dish-brush-with-soap-dispenser_p4480485

The best part about this is that the brush has a pump action, disconnect the top, pull out the valve and I found a bolt that went straight in with no drilling, put a washer and nut on then tap the clear plastic a few times to break it off.
Just use low speed and go slow otherwise there will be grey Jif everywhere. I suggest hosing off if you can as a sponge and bucket of water take forever.
64  Technical Board / Modification Help / Speco Wooden Shifter Knob on: March 28, 2019, 07:50:51 PM
So I've got this original wooden Speco shifter knob.
It's in good condition, but it could be better.
Are these able to be easily pulled apart to facilitate a resto, or do I play it safe and leave it in tact whilst reconditioning?

68  General / General Board / Re: Never say never! (2) (Off-White FE/FC roof lining material) on: March 16, 2019, 12:07:12 PM
There won't any word for a few weeks, I have 20+ orders to fill as well as my existing trim jobs and I only do the trimming 2-2 1/2 days a week.
Final cost per metre is $82:50 plus freight.
A sedan will need 3 metres to do the lining and visors.

73  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: wind lacing on: March 04, 2019, 09:34:48 AM
I sell windlace for a Sedan allowing 2 metres per door, there is a little left over. Keep in mind too that factory fitted windlace stops/starts at the B pillar i.e. there is gap across the B pillar.

75  General / General Board / Re: Never say never! (2) (Off-White FE/FC roof lining material) on: February 20, 2019, 05:59:32 PM
1.5 metres for a Panel Van includes enough for visors.
76  General / General Board / Re: Never say never! (2) (Off-White FE/FC roof lining material) on: February 14, 2019, 02:01:48 PM
Good News/Bad News!

Good - the order is ready to be shipped!

Bad - they want an extra $372 for shipping. I will sort this payment out and get the order on the way, I'll then recalculate orders and advice people.

As to left overs, I expect to have 6 metres of off white and there is 3 metres of light green that was ordered but is no longer required.

78  General / General Board / Re: Never say never! (2) (Off-White FE/FC roof lining material) on: February 01, 2019, 05:19:24 PM
After SMS telling me they would check my shipping date all the back in early January, they got back to me yesterday promising a February ship date and they will update me with the actual day (year?  Tongue) that this will occur.
79  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: a pair of 14" Tasmans on: January 15, 2019, 11:25:27 PM
Thanks, that would be appreciated.
80  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: a pair of 14" Tasmans on: January 13, 2019, 07:25:47 PM
Thanks Diamond Dog, I am still casually looking but have not come across anything that suits me.
I haven't seen any 14" Tasmans advertised since my original post, so I have no idea what a fair price would be for a pair or set.
