Congratulations JB, awesome looking ute with so much innovation. Most importantly, well done on actually getting the ute finished as we all know it is extremely hard to stay focused and enthusiastic at times. Cheers, Jamie.

Hi all, been a while since last post but still getting out and about. Here's some pictures from a couple weeks ago when we entered the FC in the Bay to Birdwood classic. Long day but the Black FC ran like a charm for the whole 200 kms and we all had a great time. Cheers, Jamie.

All cleaned up ready to go....5.45AM...

Once again, my two biggest fans...

Made it to the start at the Bay (Glenelg)...

Good turn up. 1750 vehicles and awesome weather.

At the finish, Birdwood Museum.

Well done Mark. It's great to see your perseverance and determination have paid off and now you have a beautiful ute to enjoy. Many people don't understand how hard it is to stay committed on a build like this but you have done it. Great job. Jamie.

Looking at the picture it is only FC side chrome which has been added. The rear is as normal. Nice looking car though. Cheers, Jamie.

Jeez, you must have been really pulling your hair out if it took 11 stitches to put it back in....

Yep, I reckon you nailed the exhaust. Will probably still Dust a bit but looks great. Couple of cool photos there too. And they say Alcohol is no good for you, look what it does for your dart skills.... Wink

Yeah do dumps so you can annoy the crap out of people by blowing dust all over their clean cars at cruises... Tongue Angry  That why I cut mine back to about 15 degrees which makes a big difference and keeps my car cleaner too... Wink

I really doubt you could make any major mistakes. It's metal after all, you just have another go at it. Now wood on the other hand..... Grin

Buy yourself a welder and a grinder and give it a crack. What's the worse that could happen hehehe... Wink

Excellent progress. Always looks nasty after you blast but at least you know what your dealing with now. Make sure you vacuum out the sills if you are not replacing them or the sand will blow out when you go to paint and really shits you off! Cheers, Jamie.
16  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: How should FC blinkers work? on: February 23, 2015, 10:25:05 PM
The blinkers should just go on then off then on then off ....then repeat.... Tongue  But seriously check that all the globe holders are earthed properly and give them a good clean with fine steel wool and make sure the earth wires are on clean steel with no paint build up. Cheers, Jamie.

19  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: scratch plates on: February 04, 2015, 08:31:53 PM
Well that's disappointing Phil, I sold most of my FC stuff about six months ago and in the deal was two RH scratch plates front and back. Only sold them because they weren't a set. Jamie.

I love this car, mainly because if you go back to the start of this thread and have a look how it began many people would have said "that is too rusty"! I looked at it and said "I hope he persists with it because it can be fixed" and that is exactly what you have done. You're perseverance is admirable. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see it finished and see another old Holden saved... Cheers, Jamie.
