Hi Ya Shayne (yep, still around ) JABENTI , Welcome to the Forum , Wow , it's great to have those memories , I remember the name "Kingsley Hibbard" in the early 70's around Oran Park & Amaroo . I think he had some pretty radical cars at the time .You may know the guy who originally built my car in 1970, Keith Croft of Pendle Hill ,(made steel wheels for Sports Sedans) then he sold it to Geoff Darmody from Clyde (panel beater) & I bought it off Geoff in 1974. It's really great to have someone on the forum with "First Hand Knowledge" of the original Grey gear. Warning , watch out for Robj "4 Hammers" he'll have a list of questions a yard long ... This is Keith's old car , Used to be ? ? Olive green with Orange wheels Also if you click on "Homepage" on the Left, there's a couple of more photo's there. Norm

Hey TAYZ Don't feel too bad mate , My first attempt at an FC (early 70's) , a couple of mates & I spent months rubbing the body back , Flared the guards , bolted in a HR front end .... then found "rust" in the LH front floor (only rust in it).... So what did we do ,..... Borrowed an oxy set cut the body up , and took the lot to the "tip" including 4 rust free doors & front guards , grrrrrrr . If we only knew. :-/ Norm

Theo I would advise removing the the tar/orminoid ? ? paint from the car . My first attempt at rebuilding an FC many moons ago with a couple of mates, we had a shell "donated" to us from Schofields (W/Sydney) Great, tar painted underneath .....spent a couple of months , flaring guards , rubbing back panels etc. went to jack it up AND as the trolley jack gently rose ... the body gently "lowered" . to get to the top of the jack we opened the left hand door . the floor had rusted completely through. Better to be sure than sorry. I went and bought an "already done one" Norm

Wow Kiwi It hasn't changed at all , thats why I said it was "a dead ringer" . when I saw your pic , I just stared at it for a while , 45 yrs , and no changes . Thinking for a while (unusual for me) I can remember the Inter crash wagon , F*** Cusso (used to be 2) and the Holdens. When I'm down there next , I'll see if they've any more pics , I've got to know the guys quite well , so , see what I can come up with. (the building on the right is now the radio station I work at sometimes) Thanks for posting. Norm
