Hey Alex Spot on as usual , I think the FC is John Burkes , it was around the same time as mine (early 70's) I'm pretty sure it was the only Black FC racer (beautiful car) always immaculate . Here's a pic around the same time. Norm

My Aunt & Uncle had a pair of the deflectors on their EJ wagon , just about everyone around here who lived on dirt roads had these and they actually worked They were available for Holdens , Valiants & Fords , very popular in the 60's & 70's . I remember Valiants & Fords had the horizontal type , some looking like they were "moulded" onto the top of the tailgate . I've got one here for a Ford XA-C , fits with 4 self-tappers. (Will try & get a pic) Norm

Hi SRVLIVES No worry about attending meetings , if I went to a meeting it would be a 750 k round trip and I've only been able to get to 1 club run ,and I've been a Forum member for 3 yrs and club member for 18 mths . On a personal note , being a member makes me feel I'm " one of the guys" , helps keep the club financial and also helps keep this great site on the Net. Just my thoughts Norm

Hey Paul Cool pic mate, the town hasen't changed a lot . Town Hall/Council Chambers is exactly the same , front left was Mitchell Jewellers then McGregors Real Estate now it's a mens Hairdressers (the guy is a REAL Brocky fan) Mann Chemist is now Young Eyes (optomitrist) and the lights were removed from the centre of the street years ago (too many people running into them) now the council have put them in the middle of the round-a-bouts. Great pics Alex , (as always) Hey Shayne , Yep , those tyres , you'd hear 'em coming for miles on the tar. They were called "winter treads" most of the farmers around here used them on the dirt roads. 50's - early 70's vintage. Norm

Hey Burnsy Sorry , but I'd missed your post , Maaaaate , "Wireless" yep , we had one of those when I was a kid , no such thing as "TV" then , so we listened to the "STC Wireless" every night. but after owning a "Music Shop" for 13 years and being a "Muso" for 30 yrs , I sort of updated a little . . Hey Rusty Emu has his CD player in the glovebox and the remote works with the glovebox "closed" There are different types 1/ Plays CD's only (bought ones) 2/ Plays CD & CDR (ones that are burnt) 3/ Plays CD , CDR & Mp3. I've just picked up one off "the bay" (search -Car CD) that will play CD & CDR for $56 + $19 Del. with remote (45w x 4). It turned up 2 days ago , haven't put it in yet , but it looks pretty good . Hope this helps Norm
