Hey Fat,

Got under again and the best i could measure was 1230 end to end.  Again, that may be give or take a mil or two.

I have some photo's of the radiator I can email to you - what is your email address....

Fatboy:

The diff is 1380 outer drum face to outer face drum, give or take a mill or two.  Diff is installed in my fc with rear leaf springs in their standard position.  It was setup to run the 15 x 7 chev rally wheels with 215/70 tyres with good clearance.

Brett:

The radiator is approx 665 wide by 415 high.  It is essentially a standard VL Commodore radiator with a couple of inches taken out of the height so it would fit height wise into the fc radiator hole (widended to suit). It has a thicker core fitted to compensate for the reduced height.  Tanks are on the sides, NOT top and bottom. The car is not a V8 but running a VL Commodore 6 and auto.

Hey Tayz,

That is bloody good news - well done.

My business is going thru its quiet time and need to fund it for a while so will get rid of some replaceable bits and when things get busy and people start paying I will replace them.

Not selling the body and trim, etc...... might put the motor and box on the market, depends how quick things pick up......

I am home most nites during the week, and will be around all weekend, just give me a yell when you are coming.

Unfortunately, project not going to be finished in the near future due to work committments so am putting a few bits I can replace later up for grabs:

- Chev Rally Wheels 15 x 7 with corvette caps, HQ and   up stud pattern $750.00

- Stainless Steel 60 litre fuel tank, brand new, never had fuel in it, has return line for EFI if needed. $750.00

- Shortended VL Commodore diff complete with saddles ready to fit to FE/FC $800.00

- Modified VL Commodore radiator - std VL width but has a couple of inches removed from height to fit FE/FC and fitted with a thicker core.  Never used.  $350.00

If anyone interested, pm here as I check in regularly.

Cooky,

You can try to screw them out - dose them up with wd40 first and wait a while.  Otherwise just belt the living daylights out of them.  Mine came out ok with a few decent whacks and no damage to the thread.

G'day Leon,

after reading progress of your rebuild, maybe you should move to ballarat - cant get it to rain here at all........

from memory mine cost around $45.00, but that was a few years ago. will check prices again here on monday and if cheaper than your price, i could get it made up here and mail it up to you.
