621  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: DONE MY DASH on: January 21, 2008, 12:32:18 PM
sorry, tried to get 2 pics from photobucket on here, obviously FAILED. computer-illiterate old bastard...
Got as far as putting them on photobucket - jack_fc - FC dash - pics FC 001, FC 005; cant get any further. Maybe some of you computer whizzes can help! (and please dont refer me to the instructions in members cars - tried that; its all gobbldygook to me)
Think I'll go and do something I CAN handle; the beer fridge is in the shed Undecided

hey surferboy, if you do Torquay - Mt Gambier via Great Ocean Road, allow approx 4.5 hours DRIVE time Torquay to Port Fairy, there is so much to see along this stretch you should allow whole day with early start. Port Fairy to Mt G is a cruisy 2 hr drive plus stops. If you opt to go this way, and feel like a stop for "refreshments" (or an overnite stop) at Pt Fairy, let me know by personal message for contact details. We're happy to provide a bit of hospitality to FE/FC drivin sandgropers, n will be leaving for the Nats Fri arvo.

638  Galleries / Members' FEs and FCs / Re: It's Alive!!! ........ well almost on: October 01, 2007, 09:39:04 AM
Stinky, love the trim on the inside of the boot lid - very appropriate for a family car!! What do you intend to do about inner guard panels in the boot? Did FE/FC's have these as original? I'm in the process of making these panels from scratch, have spent many hours making cardboard templates, but have no idea what (if anything) was there originally... This is my first FC, and there are no others around here to check out for what the boot interior looks like, so I'm just winging it....

639  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: FC steering wheel and cigarette tray cover on: September 29, 2007, 02:19:49 PM
hey ben
I've got a cig tray (whole inner piece with removable butt receptacle, lighter, lighter socket and the black flip-up lid). The lighter may not be original; dont know if it works... The black paint is slightly pitted n would probably need repainting if you're after a smicko finish. Let me know if yr interested. I'm in Vic - could mail it to you. If yr going to the nationals, price would be 1 beer for postage, and another for the tray!
cheers
