I picked it up yesterday. Pictures coming.

Engine number is L401589 and chassis number 7-37589-M.

Decoder not working (Internal error) at the moment so I can't check the build date.

I did say not to quote me on the colours. I will take it what ever the colours are. It will just be good to get it home. The transport company said that they have 2 more waiting to be shipped from the same guy to various places.

Yes, That is the car I have bought. Thanks for the link as this is the first colour, and for that matter largeish photo I have seen of it. It is still in the transport yard, I checked 2 days ago. They just have to get the right load to put it on top of.

Well, you have asked for photos, but as I don't have the car yet this is all I can show you as it is all I have seen! The add has a few errors in it but basically it is an FE van with windows and a fancy kit of some kind on the side. I believe it is a couple of shades of green with a white flash but that was over a week ago so don't quote me.

All I have seen is a black and white thumbnail picture myself. The van is still coming over here so you, all, like me, will have to wait.

Sorry,

Yes it is the complete set, FE and FC 215, 217, 219, 225, 229, 2104 and 2106, plus a few spares, although they aren't all quite as they were when they left the factory and they are not all goers, yet. I like to keep the character of them if it suits the period. The van has side windows and a tilly type kit and is painted in 3 colours.

Stewy is right, I don't have an ambulance or police car, but my aim was one of each of the models. If it had a special use like the taxi or army car, that was a bonus. I would really like a PMG van as I used to work for Telecom/Telstra for almost 21 years and my brother worked for PMG/Telecom/Telstra for almost 40 years, but these are really hard to find and I am happy to have the cars I've got, but you never know what might turn up.

Thanks Brad,

Lucky you beat me on this one, as I have now found the FE panel van that I was missing from my collection.

Did ED's wagon leak? Yes it does and not just water. Dust too!! The lower tailgate is certainly not the best fitting one I have seen and there appears to be no adjustment left to close the gap. It is like it has a twist in the tailgate. I have not done anything much with it as I don't want to stuff up the paintwork but it will have to be done sometime.

Nice one Martin. Good to hear the story and even better with the photos.

I have an FE Standard Sedan that was owned by 2 sisters from new until they died and has only travelled around 50000 miles. I bought it off their nephew so we call it The Aunty's car. I could not imagine two sisters in this age sharing a car let alone doing it for over 30 years. Times were certainly different then.
