I also think an EK with FC front and rear would be  similar to a 55 Chev sedan... something I would love to build... wonder which Nationals I would attend tho??

already got plans for this one, FE/FC body - EK roof, and rear wheel arches and butcher a set of 55 taillights.

only thing stopping me is talent and $$$$$$ oh and talent Cheesy

Great stuff Smithy that does help ,the shroud on the bottom looks simple enough and what did you use for the ducting is that vacuum cleaner suction hose ,Cheers mate

Well spotted, actually swimming pool suction hose. But I did use vacuum cleaner ends for the demister vents  Wink, to switch between demister and heat I just turn the heater vents to closed, simply redirecting the heat. Simple but works.

This is the other one I wanted to show

Hey blok, I used the very same heater great little unit. I mounted mine vertically under the dash with the two pipes coming through the firewall at about the height of the head. For hoses use heater hose from a commodore vh I think. These have a 90 deg bend and reach the water pump with ease. You may find you will need to use spacers to bring the heater body away from the inside firewall otherwise the pipes will foul on the engine.

As far as demister setup I had someone make up an aluminum box with two 50mm outlets at the front and two smaller approx 25mm at the back for demister hose..

Let me know if you need some pics and I will see what I can dig up.

'how many polititians does it take to change a light bulb?...'

(with sincere apologies to Paul, who's not a polititian.... yet  Wink  but lots of us hope he gets there; me included!)

None they prefer us kept in the dark Grin

How long to go Paul?

Na but with the bulb holder, they do become well and truly stuck over the years. Hold it by the base and not the wires jiggle up/ down and side to side you will see it finally coming free Wink

I always find with anything not coming together,  do what hoon said, but go inside, crack a bourbon and coke and look at it with fresh eyes a bit later. it may also help to stop at 1 coldy before re attempting anything  Cheesy

I learnt that lesson a long long time ago, and yes if you spend hours trying to figure out a problem walk away or do something else and before you know the answer will present itself. Wink
Oh and one maybe two bourbons certainly helps Grin

Thanks heaps Ken, I realized that it is on pretty damn well. And the centre black button doesn't come out and really stinks if you try to drill it out. Actually the smell is a sort of don't try this kind of chemical smell.

Headlight knob may be the next one to try. If I can find one. Wink

20  Technical Board / Modification Help / Choke cable on: February 14, 2011, 11:20:21 AM
Does anyone know how the knob on the choke cable is affixed.
I want to use the knob only for something other than it's intention, but unsure how or if it actually comes apart.

Cheers
