Why, because they didn't have to pay for it  Roll Eyes, they are just boys in adults bodies, give it a caning and then give back what's left with no consequence!  But in a way I do envy what they do!!

I often wonder if in 1959 people saw a new FC and went 'ho-hum there's another new Holden they are so bland compared to the old '29 model A, now they had style!!'

I know today if I see an old Holden I'll spin around and watch it pass, but even a new SS Commodore won't even rate a second glance from me.  Maybe it's just me??

I remember as a kid in the 70s the road was full of hotted up FJs and EHs, but I still took notice of the new Kingswoods etc then (I guess because we had one!).  Chargers and 2 door Falcons always stood out to me though!

Anyway enough rambling from me!

Yeah that's a good excuse  Grin, it'll be interesting to see if he starts listing fire damaged items!!  Huh Anyway are you after the bracket that mounts the aircon compressor under the alternator, I know I did have one but would have to conduct a search to see whether I still have it in the shed!

Cheers

OK no problem, I have a blue scissor jack that looks like the one on Ebay, but I think it's from a later Holden model.  If I can find it in my shed I'll send you a pic.

Hi all,

I have two standard steel wheels (no tyres) date stamped 7/56 and 25/8/58 both with the 5/8 diameter valve hole for sale.  These rims are not gutter damaged and apart from some minor rust on the inside of one rim they are as good as you get for secondhand wheels.  I'm after $20 ea for these and happy to post them anywhere.  Pickup from near Albury/Wodonga is welcome too.  Pics available.  Please pm me or phone 0418451665 to discuss further.

Will probably chuck on ebay next week if I get no interest here.

Cheers

Hi all.

I have a pair of FE Holden wheels date stamped 25/9/58 and 7/56.  Now these have the 5/8 valve hole which is larger than what is now considered standard.  Does this mean there is going to be problems fitting tyres to them?  Thanks Peter
34  General / General Board / Re: FC P/van numbers on: June 16, 2008, 01:01:27 PM
Doesn't a van tailgate just say 'HOLDEN' and the station wagon says 'STATION SEDAN', that's how I remember them anyway!!

38  For Sale and Wanted / Auction and Trade Links / FE ute on Ebay with 'tilly' kit on: May 19, 2008, 12:03:27 PM
Gee, must be rare to see these utes with a 'tilly' kit, looks straight and rust free too, no I don't know the seller, just think it's a rarity!!  The auction number is Ebay Item #190222038267
39  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: What size wheels & tyres?? on: May 05, 2008, 02:01:04 PM
Jack_FC, if memory serves me correctly Volvo rims run the early Holden pattern and BMW rims run the HQ-WB (Chevy) pattern.

Cheers

40  For Sale and Wanted / Parts For Sale / Re: 179 HP on: May 05, 2008, 12:06:13 PM
I think the problem is that some believe the HP block to be something special, which it isn't, every 179 engined EH had one!!
