Unsure of what has changed since 2009 when I registered mine with a 253, but you'll need to start with an engineers certificate then RWC. Best to speak to an engineer first & they'll tell you what is needed.

26  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: Front Subframe on: January 27, 2011, 10:34:57 AM
Hi again everyone,
I'm still looking for a good subframe for the new wagon if anybody has one pleeeezz let me know. The one that was on ebay sold and Clint's from NZ is missing a few sections that I need. My old one has gone to the recyclers already even though it only needed 4 lower legs, 2 upper legs, left and right rails front to back and front cross connector (one skirt was ok but)
cheers, Leigh

28  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Multiple Carby's on: December 20, 2010, 01:38:55 PM
It's no good trying to push more fuel into the engine if it can't get the exhaust out. Any multiple carby setup must run with headers or extractors. The standard exhaust manifold offers no performance.

I've had 2 of their radiators and it won't be 3. Lack of attention to detail is another fault they suffer. Todys new car radiators are ally as they need to run hotter to get the catalytic converters working and are suitable for use with the coolants. ADC ally ones would be more for show I would think - black is the go for me.

Just my opinion but I found Nolathane harsh and noisy. The rubber ones gave a better ride, so went back to them.

Had Khumo on the wagon and they were great for a year or two then they cured/hardened up so lost their grip. After that were lethal in the wet but still plenty of tread.

34  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / FC Wagon on: July 23, 2010, 08:32:14 PM
Hello everyone,
I have an FC Wagon that is an unstarted / unfinished project that I recently purchased from ebay but due to a change in circumstances I now have to sell. It has a blue 202/Trimatic transmission. Tunnel, mounts & HR f/end already done. Has some rust in the usual places but a rust free subframe. Comes with a new windscreen seal, extractors and boxes of spares & all bright work is in good nick. Selling for what it owes me - $1900. Located east of Melbourne.
cheers, Leigh

35  For Sale and Wanted / Parts For Sale / Re: wagon & ute cuts for sale on: June 28, 2010, 09:55:50 PM
Hi ofc304,
I was after a good cowl vent section + vent door and have been searching around this part of the world first (without any luck so far). I know it's asking a lot, but if you have one, is it possible for you to get a postage/freight cost to Melbourne before I commit?
Thanks,
Leigh
36  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Lowered springs on: June 23, 2010, 09:58:58 PM
I imagine Kings would have a contact number so maybe a quick call will provide an answer. In the past I've purchased 2" lowered King Springs for an FB with HR front and have 1 1/2" in the FC at present. The spring place I purchased mine from told me Kings made 3 variations - std, 1 1/2" low + 2" low. Cutting coils may give a reasonble result but will affect the ride and handling. (could be why it's not legal?)

Can't help with where "flat" came from and who knows why they're "dead"
Correct terminology I guess is charged or discharged but why do you get discharged from the army?
40  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: LED light conversion for tail lights. Anyone have an answer? on: June 18, 2010, 02:16:23 PM
Ditto what Ed said about the Jaycar ones. I tried them for rear blinkers so I didn't need coloured lenses and really had to force them into the housing so have just gone with orange globes and they do just nice  Grin
