2  General / General Board / alternative to hr front ends on: February 19, 2001, 01:00:00 PM
is there an alternative to hr front ends in fe-fcs?  just a bit worried that we might run out of hr front ends if there is not.  are hk,t,g,q,x,z fronts any good for fitting to early holdens?
3  General / General Board / fc ute chrome on: February 13, 2001, 01:00:00 PM
just found an fc ute in a paddock.not unusual in itself, but it had chrome strips right along the side, like an upmarket sedan.  its is original because it fits around the petrol cap correctly.  also the tail lights were chromed. i thought all utes and vans were basically plain.  is this a rare variation??? has anyone else seen this ??  didnt have a pen on me so could not get the trim number of the id plate.  also why do u only ever seem to find fc utes, and not fe ones
4  General / General Board / Re: FC panel van on: November 29, 2000, 01:00:00 PM
even the headlight and tailight surrounds were painted.  not chromed
5  General / General Board / Re: FC panel van on: November 17, 2000, 01:00:00 PM
no-one seems to know how many were made.  best guess is about 10,000  they are rare. but u can get one if u want.  as far as i know they were never in 2 tone, as they were just for work and were as spartan as u could get.  that is , just the bare bones.

7  General / General Board / note about unleaded on: June 09, 2000, 12:00:00 PM
seems to be a lot of negativity about this lead replacement fuel in west aust.  i recently drove a 81 gemini across from sydney to perth. when i reached wa  i naturally had to use this lrp. been here about 9 weeks and have not noticed any difference whatsoever  at all in using this fuel. car is still running great. idling cooling running starting etc.  so far so good. if i notice any probs i will let people know.   interested to hear more stories about the good ol grey
8  General / General Board / unleaded fuel on: June 09, 2000, 12:00:00 PM
anybody have info on unleaded fuel in grey motors.?  just had a grey rebuilt and forgot to worry about unleaded.   have read issue 112 in restored cars.   is it a case of just modifying the head, valves etc?  is the western aussie lead free super ok in a grey?  any help appreciated  clive     cruddick@hotmail.com
