81  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Fixing Rear bumper mount on: May 24, 2002, 05:32:33 AM
Yeh sgo has the right idea, I work in the body shop at Holdens and if we come across something like that (which is rare) we cut open the panel and weld the nut inside then weld the panel back together, file, buff and you would never know.

87  General / General Board / Re: Lights, Wipers, Belts on: April 20, 2000, 12:00:00 PM
With your lights, check that it is not the foot operated high low beam switch that is stuffed and not the dash switch - it is alot cheaper and easily sourced if it is the problem.  Didn't FB,s have mechanical wipers the same as the EK's and not vacume?

89  General / General Board / Re: EK Heater - More on: April 17, 2000, 12:00:00 PM
OK stupid me it is a warmaride (written on the front panel).  Second question though, what is the wire/tube (thin steel about 2mm) which runs from the water shut off valve to the back of the unit.  Also, I run a red motor and which are the best take off points to feed nice hot water into the heater ie off the carby sie of the thermostat housing (two points) or off the water pump (plug side) and the head?
90  General / General Board / EK Heater on: April 17, 2000, 12:00:00 PM
My EK Special is fitted with a standard heater.  1. Is this the type of heater people refer to a warmride heaters (box shaped with central fan knob)? 2. Where and can I get a replacement water valve for it as mine leaks?
Thanks, Mike
