1  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Celica 5 Speed - transmission tunnel on: September 19, 2024, 01:00:31 PM
Thanks RET... I'll investigate a bit further.... I think that mod was done about 20 years ago and the bloke who did it has unfortunately passed away.

Cheers,

2  Technical Board / Modification Help / Celica 5 Speed - transmission tunnel on: September 11, 2024, 11:19:52 PM
G'day Everyone,

I recently bought an FC Special Sedan which already had a Celica 5 speed transmission behind a red motor installed.

Would it be correct that the tunnel had to be modified somewhat to accommodate this?

Also, if I wanted to swap out the Celica 5 speed for an auto, would a trimatic fit without any additional modification to the tunnel?

If not, is there another auto which would fit in that space without further mods to the tunnel.

Thanks for your help!
3  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: FC Dash Knob Surrounds on: September 11, 2024, 11:12:49 PM
I tried to get some from SpeedSpares but they are an item which is on back order... I ordered them in January and they still haven't come in so I just cancelled the order.

I would try contacting them first to see if they have an update on when these will be available.

Cheers!
4  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / WTB: STEERING WHEEL on: September 11, 2024, 10:57:56 PM
Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping somebody may have an FC steering wheel in good condition which they are willing to part with/sell.

I have an aftermarket wooden sports steering wheel on an EK column but looking to get the original wheel back on there.

I may get it pearled at some time in the (distant) future so doesn't need to be concours condition but preferably one that won't need a full resto.

Thanks!
