4  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: FC Ute - ex Streetneat Shop Ute on: November 08, 2006, 06:11:39 AM
With the current delays in transport over to the west, I might have to take you up on that Stinky!!

The 08 Nats might also give me time to finish the wagon project. That would mean I'd have to leave the sedan at home .... choices, choices ... Shocked

All the best
Tim

Thanks Edward.

Andrew (and for others interested) the ute continues its journey around Australia and will be spending some quality time out west - in sunny Perth Cool

I run a black 202 with trimatic column shifter - however not EFI.

This link may be of assistance though-:

7  Technical Board / Restoration Help / what constitutes stock? on: February 08, 2006, 01:30:29 PM
I have recently "invested" in an FC wagon project and fully intend on restoring the old girl but the question is where to start.

I have discovered that unfortunately the motor is not original, still grey but with a B prefix. Which is disapointing but leads me to my question on how stock is stock.

I have noticed that the Constitution and Rules of the Nationals for want of a better definition http://www.fefcholdenvic.org.au/images/PDF/natscons.pdf  in Clause 7 provides for a point scoring system for classing of a vehicle.

Under item 1 this would indicate that my engine is still classed as stock.

What does Item 7 "WHEELS - Chromed or mag, or tyres" mean?  If I put radials on instead of crossplys is this considered a mod?

In item 16 "PAINT WORK" does it matter what colour scheme I choose given the original colour is coded onto the ID plate or is any "normal Metalic" OK?

I know at the end of the day it's up to me what I do with my car - but I am interested in other peoples opinions!

Cheers

10  General / General Board / Re: gmh wall clock on: February 01, 2006, 01:55:31 PM
Nice display board Rusty.

Couldn't help noticing a couple of bowling trophies and some batting ones. Wouldn't mind guessing that just like me you started with the bowling ones (bowling nude nuts - no doubt) and when you got older, fatter and generally lazier (like me) you started winning the batting ones (going the tonk!). Grin

Given that we own the same car - this is getting rather spooky.

Cheers
Tim

PS the clock says 1pm yet your post was at 12:52pm - how do you do that then hey !!

However given recent debates about colours of Horn Caps and the like .. how are you going to decide / or can you enlighten us on what colour combination it is going to be ... Huh
