Hey ed, Its Gloria here. Thanks for the tip about the door's i dont know if i will do the rust my self but i will certantly take off the doors and drive them in the van to a rust place and have it taken care of. then i should have enough money left over to have a mechanic come over to my place and fix the brakes. i just realised i can put the spare tyre on the car to get it off the rims :-).

General / General Board / Kernewek Lowender Cavalcade -S.A

Just thought i would say congrats to any South Australians who made it to the cavalcade in moonta/wallaroo/kadina during the Kernewek Lowender. There were a few beautiful FC's there, even more FE's and even a nice turn out from the EH club of australia (not fc/fe, i know). Even though one of the owners of the FC's was letting the others down by claiming that Fc's are obsolete and parts are now unavailable, the others definetly made up for it.

Just thought id thank you all for your advice, but sadly, after feeling too guilty i turned my neighbour down. My boyfriend talked me into selling it but when i went back the next day she had already invested it in shares. I gotta learn to be more descisive. lol and Martin, im not legally an adult for 17 more days

Technical Board / General Technical / Re: replacing original brakes

Thanks mate, but ive got plenty of brake fluid . The seals have gone from the system. The master cylinder is full of fluid and its not leaking out of the wheel cylinders. I just think it would be better to get new brakes then stuff round with the seals, much safer too. Brakes are not something i wanna play with. I may be a woman but im not a blonde one lol Unfortunetly my handbrake was gone before my brakes so looks like that options out. Thanks for replying harko

Technical Board / General Technical / replacing original brakes

I was reversing down my driveway and put my foot on the brake. My foot went straight to the floor and the car kept going... very scary few moments till it stalled. Therefore, im assuming i need new brakes, ( even if i dont, new brakes will be much safer). Does anyone know of a good place to get the original brakes replaced? Im in the sydney area, between parramatta and hornsby (carlingford). And do they come to me somehow, or do i have to figure out a way to get the car to them? Thanks guys

Yea, ive been considering the ethical side of ripping them off. Not looking good...... think id feel so damn guilty. Not that she needs the money though, shes the kinda person who buys a mercedes cash in hand. Im really worried though, ive been searching for a new FC to purchase and have only found 1 off this site and it was pretty dodge. Are they getting hard to buy, or is it just a lull?

Im looking for a replacement for my current FC which i am selling to a neighbour. If i get a good price for my current, im up for it, if not, it would not be financially viable for me. Ill find out in a few days how much they are paying me for it.

General / General Board / $12000 for an FC??
|
on: May 09, 2005, 04:04:27 AM

Just wondering what other people think, as im having a hard time deciding due to emotional attachment. I bought my FC for $2500 a month ago, and recently a neighbour has offered me $12000 for it ( ) but im so attached to it i dont know if i can sell, but then again the money will be good for uni next year. Is this a good price for the car, or should i hang out for more? (i have no idea how much they are worth) and is selling my 'vicky' to buy another FC going to lose me money?. I l know you cant tell without looking at the car, but the interior is perfect and it needs next to no work done on it.

Ah awesome, thanks guys. Its a relief to hear my wiring is fine. Does this mean its possible to wire the lenses to work as reversing lights?.... mum insists i get reversing lights somehow, so that would be most helpful
