3  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Differential flange locknut on: May 30, 2005, 05:15:40 AM
Looking for a differential flange locknut. Needing to replace pinion oil seal, and manual says this must be replaced. Is this true? If yes, where can I get one? Rarespares don't seem to stock them.

Thanks,

John

Looking for generator springs and brushes for a Bosch generator on a grey motor.

Either second hand, or somewhere to purchase new would be helpful.

6  Technical Board / General Technical / Gearbox jumps out of first ( 1st ) on: March 22, 2005, 10:39:46 AM
Hi - need some help with an FB original gearbox. (Have also posted on the FB/EK site). It keeps jumping out of first gear, is ok in second and third.  Have tried adjusting the gear rods as per the manual, but didn't seem to help.

Also, the gear shift selector lever doesn't seem to lock into first (doesn't 'catch' would be the best way to describe it.

Anyone have any suggestions - what to do, how to fix it, what to look for...

Thanks,

John

Stewart - thanks for the posting. Have confirmed I don't have a spring where one should be, but am yet to track down a spare one from anywhere.

Thanks,

Exactly - that's why I asked you guys.  Fast informative responses. I know I'm on the wrong forum as such, but hope to be an FE or FC owner in the future, once I've finished my FB project.  Anyway - thanks for all the comments/help.
11  Technical Board / Restoration Help / FB brake spring on: March 17, 2005, 06:47:34 AM
Sorry - I know on the wrong forum, but can anyone tell me where the spring for the brake pedal in an FB sedan is supposed to be attached. And, does anyone have a spare one they can sell me? It seems to be missing off a car I recently bought.

If anyone has a pic/diagram of where it's supposed to be, would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

13  General / General Board / Warmaride heater install on: March 15, 2005, 03:20:03 AM
Hey - just wondering where the water connecting points are on the grey motor to connect the Warmaride heater to.

One on the cylinder head, and one on the water pump?

Thanks,

John
