My FC Ute gets called the 'Dute' because it's a daily driver and used to cart my two English Mastiffs and house Reno materials around.

I have a modified front bench seat in my FC Ute, currently running a Celica 5spd.  I'm contemplating going to a column shift trimatic and if I do I'l want an original bench for front.  Maybe a swap oud work?

I'm sure this had been discussed previously and the topic usually generates lots of variations in opinion.
It's been a long time since i've owned a vehicle powered by a Holden red motor (21 years) and there's been a lot of advancements in motor oils during that time.
So what engine oil do people run or recommend for a slighly modified mild red motor?
Just to make the discussion more robust I'll even throw the Synthetic v Mineral oil debate into the mix  Grin

Thanks for the suggestions.  It has 13x5.5 front rims, maybe a wheel alignment is required, although it tracks straight

I'm new to the FC world (previously had HQ, HJ and Chevs) and have loads of questions to ask as I progress through my ute.

First one, is there a compatible power steering unit which can be fitted to a FC Ute without too many modifications?

14  General / General Board / 1957 FC ??? on: July 07, 2016, 05:20:11 PM
Hi, I've just joined the Forum after purchasing a FC ute yesterday.  I have a question, it is registered as a 1957 FC however every article I read indicates FC models didn't start until May 1958.

The numbers are:-

Chassis  FC42011S
Body      FC2106-7220S
Trim      353-650
Paint     256-2058

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please.
