1  Galleries / Project Cars - FEs and FCs Under Construction / 57 FE Ute on: January 27, 2014, 10:12:04 PM
Hi all
New to the forum & thought I would add my latest project.
It comes with all the usual rust issues although it has had a canopy on for
Part of its life which has saved the rear, complete car just in a lot of bits...
It needs front pans, A pillar lowers, sills and some serious work to the qtr panels
which RichFC has already help out with. Doors, guards also need work but I suppose it is an oldie now.....
Currently just finishing off a HQ Ute which was really rough but managed to save and did
a v6 conversion and will use as a daily driver. This ute I will probably do more as a stocky with
some very mild mod's.
I need to get some info on the best repo patch panels available as I would rather go with the
ones that are closest to original and best fitting as possible.
Cheers

Hi
New to the forum and have a FE ute that I am just starting to restore.
I have some serious issues with the Right hand side quarter panel (old accident) from
the b pillar to just past rear wheel and need to try to get a replacement.
Left hand side isn't much better with dents and rust
The current patch panels don't extend far enough up or along
Any help much appreciated
Cheers  Grin

Hi All,
New to this forum and would like some info on sedan & utes.
I have recently purchased a FE ute resto project and needs the usual floors , A pillar lowers
sills and some body reinf.
Rear floors, tub area is great but just need a little info on the panels that are available.
Have looked through the forum and see the the Rare spares new sills are the better option.
- Are the doors on utes the same in the lower section? The glass frame is different but I presume
the length of the door is the same?
- Are the rare spares sills for sedan still usable for utes? Same wheel base?
- Is there any A Pillar patch panels on the market?"
Forum looks very informative............cheers
