Hi Slim, i realise this post is years old but i wanted to know how you went fitting a rear seat to your van?
is it a major job or just a matter of getting a wagon seat, removing a part of the timber floor and bolting it in.
thanks

For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: old skool fc wagon for sale

thanks old girl 58,
I am selling because I recently bought a newer car on impulse (with heated seats for these hell-freezing Tasmanian conditions) and have to sell two cars to pay for it, the Fc & soon the Fj. I found i enjoyed it more when i had things i wanted to do to it, since finishing i've lost interest. I did plan on airbags and shaved handles but couldn't live with butchering it.
I've also got a greater lust for cadillacs now (is that a dirty word around here)

everyone has different tastes it makes the world a bit more interesting, it would suck if everyone drove their earlys as they left the factory, no offence to the restorers (I love originals to) but when you can add some personality to your car it sets it appart from the rest.
Its funny how many people will say "don't do that", then comment on how good it looks afterward.
Go tha wagons

For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: 13" Portawalls

I have 14" portawalls on my fj from cali speed supplies, $100, I would never buy them again, I also have the 13" on my fc from antique tyres made in England, $130 set of four, you need to use rubber grease between tyre sidewall and portawall to prevent friction.
They're sweet
