4  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Steering column replacement on: August 30, 2021, 12:29:47 PM
Got it sorted took the column out and went to a blokes house that dealt with rods racks back in the day a s we pin pointed that a hex head had come loose on the selector which made it just swing in the breeze when selecting tightened it up and adjusted it . Back in the car all driving again
5  Technical Board / Modification Help / Steering column replacement on: August 23, 2021, 11:37:28 AM
Have a issue with selector on the steering column . Has dropped internally somewhere. Had it modified by rods racks years ago . Is there a swap out on the market someone has used that has the auto on the column to link with commodore transmission. And be able to run fc steering wheel . Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

8  Technical Board / Restoration Help / ALIGNMENT OF 4 DOORS on: February 26, 2020, 01:19:37 PM
ANY ONE HAVE THE FULL PROCESS OF PUTTING THE DOORS ON CORRECTLY TO GET THEM RIGHT AND SEAL . HAVE DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE YEARS WITH MIXED SUCCESS. . IS IT BEST TO RE DO THE PINS IN ALL DOORS THEN START AGAIN. AS WELL AS SHIM'S

i ended up going aluminium radiator from Proflow in a universal style .  bit of cutting ,making of supports and mounts . in now with Spal puller fan. had to modify the top neck of radiator to miss the drive belt and pulley . welded a 90' pipe with a neck.

Tried fenix today only to find out they don't have any commodore radiators in stock and don't know when they will get any either . Also didn't have any fans or shrouds Huh Not good

Anyone used the vl radiator in the fc Holden . Or any other photos of the cooling system .
13  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: aussie desert coolers on: May 27, 2017, 07:00:21 PM
I think I'm going to try the vl radiator . Seems like less cutting to fit it and won't look out of place in the car . And run the biggest fans I can . Will post photos once I start the upgrade .

Cheers

The natrad bloke at Brisbane suggest best a custom fit with vt fans .  Not sure how much I can cut out to fit this all in  without  it looking crap or out of place .
Any chance of some photos of your setup JB . I suggest the vt radiator cut down but wasn't so keen

had it modified to the collapsible column( but a shit job by rods racks ) had to fix that , then run a marine shifter cable and gearbox adaptor off summit racing . bit of a hassle but works great now really wanted to keep the original look to the car .
