   Thank you all for your response,I will follow up that lead and hopefully restore the operation of the warning instrument .Had a look at the early hubcaps and they look the goods,fc would be nice .  cheers for now and Merry Christmas Steve .

 Craig I fitted  a petronix electronic ignition module to my bosch distributor about 5 years ago and used the original coil ,worked fine ,but later added the petronix coil . opened the plug gap to 32 thou and now the car starts instantly on the first revolution. can recommend this mod .cheers Steve  Smiley

Sounds complicated to me ,try supercheap steering wheel puller and modify bolt heads to fit slot in wheel hub . around 25 dollars job done ! cheers Steve . Wink

 Sounds like some people get lots of satisfaction from working on their cars ,I get my kicks driving mine , went on a local all makes club outing yesterday,to the Briagalong Hotel for lunch .60 people with cars of all sorts ,from a 39 chev to a mustang fastback,and eveything in between ,great day ,good company and all liked the fc .cheers Steve Wink

   Vern ,the puller is a blister pack ,number on pack plu12549 code gshf0324 ,it is bolt type puller with six bolts supplied ,2 of the bolts have larger heads ,by grinding three sides off these and to the shape of the wheel slots neatly, once inserted can be tuned 90 degrees to engage the  hub ,sure you will work it out ! let me know how you go .cheers Steve  Wink cheep too .

   Was a puller ever available to remove fc steering wheels to avoid the brute strength method ,or maybe a modern one to do the job .cheers  Steve. Wink
