The following is the actual transcript of a radio conversation between a u.s. naval ship and Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland. Released by the chief of naval operations on October the fifth, 1995.

U.S. Ship: Please divert your course 0.5 degrees south to avoid a collision.

Canadian reply: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision.

U.S. Ship: This is the captain of a U.S. Navy ship, i say again divert your course.

Canadian reply:No. you divert your course.

U.S. Ship: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS CORAL SEA, WE ARE A LARGE WARSHIP OF THE US NAVY. DIVERT YOUR COURSE NOW!!!

Canadian reply: This is a lighthouse.....your call....

I have seen it.

I thought it was a coke ad, with the guy that says dork.
4  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: Bargain FC $41500.00 on: May 26, 2004, 09:52:59 AM
I am not sure about "worth so much".

The $$$ value of anything is only what someone is willing to pay.  This probably ditates why you hardly ever get what you spent when selling a restored/modified car.  For that money people would do it themselves to know what had been done and to personalise their own way.

Just my opinion.
5  General / General Board / Re: TV COMMERCIAL ??? on: May 19, 2004, 12:50:55 AM

I was having a flick through one of my dads fishing mags and there is an ad there for pink fishing line which shows one fe/fc (not sure) apparently towing another with the line.  The problem is the ad says the pink is the strongest line since 1898!!

G'day everyone.

I was meaning to thank everyone who was at the NSW meeting for making me feel welcome Grin.  It was really great to put some faces to names and also meet some other people who are not on the board.  I am definately looking forward to going again (work and uni permitting)and perhaps catching up for a bit longer (i didn't realise it was the AGM Huh).  Anyway cheers once again. Grin

Chris

By the way i am still looking so if you hear of anything...

The other thing that i forgot to mention is that i think they play older movies.  It mentioned them showing saturday night fever on the opening night but i don't know if this was just for opening or a regular thing.

Hey everyone.  I was just looking at the sydney morning herald website and i saw this article http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/05/07/1083911408938.html

Looks like they are going to be starting a drive in at olympic site at homebush.  There won't be any of the old boxes, replaced by fm radio frquency, but the waitresses will be dressed in "1950s hot pink tops, black mini skirts and stilettos." Sounds like all they need are some period cars, now where could you get those?  Grin Grin

I reckon it would be one hell of a destination to end a run at!!

Oh on the topic i was at the drive in last week and saw an awesome looking chopped yellow with flame pattern american?? classic car (i didn't get a chance to ask what it was).  Sure beat the hell out of all of those crx's and civics!!!

Oh it will only be running for 3 months unless they find a business partner!!

sorry for the confusion.

yes w/ was meant to be with, having said that i wouldn't mind a wagon.

I would definately require nsw rego though as i don't want the hassle and associated dollars of a trip over the pits plus any associated enginners certs.

Thanks for the reply though as it is definately appreciated.

Put it this way, you wouldn't miss me in a crowd. I'm 6'7"

Yeah its a damn shame that i hate basketball and love cars and motorsport!!

I am going to be looking at one fc on friday i was trying to find out if it could be done before i go and buy one.

Thanks for the replys everyone.
19  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Column shift manual on: April 20, 2004, 04:04:40 AM

Thanks for the reply.

i'm not sure about the column shift manual but i think they did have a 4 speed column shift auto.

If anyone has put one of these in or knows if you can it would be great. The other thing is that the lady who owned the car had the peddles lifted off the floor so she could reach them, how much movemnet is there in them as she didn't seem to know?

cheers

Its good to hear that i can move the seat as well.
