5  Technical Board / General Technical / question - for the Guru Ken ???? on: July 12, 2014, 11:59:46 PM
hi all,
was asking a question on the FB EK forum, regarding the radiator hoses, wondering if the EJ left the fatory with the part number painted on hoses, or the sticker ..

anyway I found the pix of the FE at the GMH proofing ground. Stewy suggested i post it here to as it has a very interesting ID tag. if some could explain what the ID means..
Im not an expert on FE FCs but looks a little different??

Grab yourself a bargain! This Mini is priced to sell, one of the best deals in town. $9,000 ONO

We are only selling this lovely Mini as we are expecting our 1st child & we have upgraded to a family car.

Here's all the good stuff:

The reason for such a low price:

• Rego expires 29th July 2013
. Come and have a look, you won't be disappointed. Very keen to sell, all good offers will be considered.

hey mate.
I was looking for my OLD mans HK, he sold it in 1993. I found it!

the way i found it was through the RTA. You lodge an Freedom of information form. You dont need the VIN number just the rego number is ok, because its all linked.

You ask them to send a letter to the last know registered owner, & go from there. Then its up to the owner if he wants to get in contact.

If u want, give me a call.. M 0438 060 821 easier to explain.

17  For Sale and Wanted / Reproduction Parts / Re: Scratch Plates FE/FC ??? on: August 11, 2012, 08:30:10 PM
A couple of people have tried reproducing these - there are lots of issues. A complex pressing and the fact that not only are all 4 different shapes but tab heights are different as well.
All makes up to being VERY hard to get right.

Ken

hi Ken,
do you mean that all 4 are all different in one set..Huh or others that have tried dont get the hight the same Huh
thanks
